How do you turn a period home in leafy Hale, Cheshire, into something spectacular? Plan, work with the clients, listen and deliver on your product. This shaker ivory kitchen does just that!

This was our brief for a renovation project in Hale, “we want something that says, wow!” and they got just that. First, Stefano got to know the customers well. From how they use their current kitchen space to what was going to be essential for their new area.

“The main issue at the start was the new location of the kitchen was going to be completely different to what the customer was using” said, Stefano. “This wasn’t a straightforward renovation, this was a complete overhaul of their living environment and we had to make sure that we got the balance, just right.”

“Firstly, I got to know the customers better. Understand what they wanted to achieve in the whole living space and not just the new kitchen.” Stefano continued, “Secondly, it was about understanding where my knowledge of design and the practical elements of style meets function could help with the project. What is always a challenge and yet the most rewarding on big projects like this is working with the different timescales other professionals like builders and plasterers have. There were seven different teams on this project and we all co-ordinated to make sure we got this dream kitchen perfected.”

As a new family, with a small child exploring all the spaces that a new area brings, the focus was on creating a flow between the living areas. From the new living room, to the play area and the dining room, the transition between those spaces and the kitchen was the most essential component.

“We needed light, something that really made the kitchen the area that everyone is welcome in, can enjoy spending time in and feel like they could easily move to the dining room, or sit at the table for those home meals” said our customer.

Materials
The kitchen is a Charles Renne Mackintosh framed Ivory shaker door with a shittake caesarstone worksurface in the kitchen area.

The island unit is once again the Charles Renne Mackintosh framed Ivory Shaker door with a solid oak, natural wood and wood stain surface.

The handles are a round ivory feature handle that subtly offsets the door’s framing whilst providing a different finish to the units to blend in with the accessories and appliances.

Stefano’s Feedback
I know the customer is over the moon with this wonderful finish and look to their new area. I’m really proud that we have managed to make this new space something truly special for them and I can see them enjoying many a night, party or sunday roast together in this spectacular kitchen.

“We can’t thank Stefano and the team enough. We’ve had builders, electricians and carpenters in and you’ve delivered us the kitchen of our dreams.
