One of the biggest barriers for people on deciding their new kitchen is actually having ideas on a whole variety of things; kitchen colours, to worktops. Will the appliances be integrated or freestanding? Will you opt for extending your kitchen or will you be changing the layout completely.
Having clear ideas on what you want to achieve is of course, a great start, you would however be in the minority if you did have such clear ideas to begin with. It’s completely normal to be overwhelmed with some of the choices that you will need to make to get the kitchen of your dreams.
Of course, that’s where we can help. Over the years, and thanks to the hundreds of recommendations from our clients across Cheshire and beyond, we understand the impact of what each idea can have on your overall kitchen design, look and feel.
That is why we want to help point out some of the ways you can get inspired and get a sense of what you want to achieve in your new kitchen.
Kitchen ideas from the web
One of the best, easiest and quickest solutions to get inspired is by looking on the web. Use Google or Bing to help narrow down some of the broader terms you may search for, for example. If you type “kitchen ideas” there are 169 million results. That’s a lot of time sifting through web page after web page. However, if you search for “modern kitchen ideas for extensions” you get 2.8 million results. Sure, that is a lot but you now can start to play with the search further, such as, “modern kitchen ideas for extension with island unit” and that brings out 1 million results. The more specific you are, the better you can start to pinpoint the things you want to see and be inspired by.
Use Image searches for kitchens as well…
We just spoke about you can use search engines to help you with your kitchen ideas, however did you know that you can search for kitchens, especially styles you like, by putting the image of something you’ve found online through a search? Instead of typing the thing you want to try to find, once you’ve got a style to mind, and possibly have an image of, right click on it and perform an image search. Found something in a magazine? Take a photo on your phone, and stick that through the same search engine. It’s a good way to broaden out the search you’ve used.
Have you thought about social media?
Many people have a love hate affair with social media, but getting great ideas for your kitchen design can be made easier by using a variety of platforms. We have a Pinterest board where you can see a variety of styles, colours and layouts. Why not check it out and see how they could fit your next dream kitchen.
